Psalms Chapter 4 תְּהִלִּים

For the leader. With stringed instruments. A psalm of David:

1 Answer me when I call, O El of my righteousness!
You have relieved me in my distress; now have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.

2 O sons of men, how long will you turn My Glory into shame?
How long will you love delusion, and seek deception and lies?

Selah.

3 Understand that the Lord sets apart the holy one for himself; Adonai will hear when I call to him.

4 Tremble, but do not sin! Search your own heart on your bed, and be still.

Selah

5 Offer righteous sacrifices; and put your trust in HaShem.

6 There are many who say, Who will show us any good?
O Adonai, let the light of your face shine upon us.

7 You have put joy in my heart, more than in the time that their grain and wine increased.

8 In Peace I will both lie down myself, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord make me to dwell in confidence.
