God rested after He laid earth’s foundation
Then He spoke and He said on the 7th day rest

When they rest on Shabat 7th day of the week
While the Christians abolish it in Greek

Day seven people stopping not to rest or to pray
Working crazy, buying selling on God’s holy Day

But Shabat wasn’t just for the Jews you see
No the seventh day was for you and for me
When God finished the world and He took a rest
Said the seventh day will be blessed

Now the synagogues have their Shabbes Goy
While the churches never see a Jewish boy
How funny Yeshua our Sabbath true
The son of God was a Jew

Mixing scripture traditions and Kabbalah
The rabbis sing Torah plus bla-bla-bla
Hoping no one comes in with the truth once more
Their traditions to throw out the door

Still the Rabbis are sure that their way is the best
Setting countless rules for the day of rest
They despise the gentiles and their relations

Most other religions with Science included
They do the desperate dance of the deluded
And all running round and round in a restless dream
Until they run out of steam

So you rest or you work in your own little style
And the truth of Creation goes into your junk file
And the beautiful Sabbath which was made for you
Disappears from your point of view

So if you remember where scripture say’s remember
Not Santa Klaus when he comes in December
But the place where it speaks of one day of the week
For us to pray and to rest and seek

The way most people work giving no time to rest
They could say ten 50-hour days a week would be best
With a never-ending work load the funds would increase
Til finally they “Rest in Peace”

To work one day a week so how does that sound
Though that way not much would ever get done
And life would be just having fun

For the rich and the poor and the strong and the weak
But the future holds a better greater Sabbath in store
When we won’t have to work anymore

The truth is most people are busy as bees
Never taking the time to get on their knees
To ask our Creator how life ought to be
Both today and for eternity

At least not in the way that we do right now
Since there’ll no longer be any sweat on our brow
Cause Messiah Yeshua has given us His rest
