A Psalm by David, when he fled from Avshalom his son.
1 Adonai, how many enemies I have! How many are those who rise up against me;
2 Many are saying of my soul, There is no Yeshuah for him in Elohim
Selah
3 But you, O Lord, are a shield for me; my Glory, and the One who lifts up my head.
4 I was crying to HaShem with my voice , and He answered me from His Holy Mountain
Selah
5 I lay down and slept, I woke up, for Adonai sustained me.
6 I will not fear the hundred thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.
7 Arise, O Adonai! Hoshieini, O Elohai!
For you have smashed the Jaw of all my enemies, you have broken the teeth of the wicked.
8 Salvation belongs to Adonai; Your blessing be upon Your people.
Your blessing be upon Your people.
Selah
