Message 2025/12 Behold the Hand, Behold the Nail (Month 08)

Intro/ Info:
This message might appear a bit boring, especially the beginning when I start with the “technical side” of it, but if you keep on watching, even if you might predict some stuff, but I hope you can get a taste of where I want to point to. So, hold on… I will try to keep it short.

Message 2025-12 Behold the Hand - Behold the Nail

Actually, the inspiration for this message came during work, renovating a very old house for some friends, which I do already since many years, not mainly to make money, but to bless people and make them happy, using my skills and talents God has given me.

Anyway, for this current project, no-one knows how old this building is, even not the owners. It has been obviously modified several times, and the foundation could be several hundreds of years old. Old natural stone walls, half a meter or more thick, for the non metric folks, roughly two feet. Nothing is straight or in a right angle, but it’s cute.

Beginning of Message:

Probably not hard to guess, what it has this to do with hands and nails (though I am not using a lot of nails). You may know in ancient days a lot of construction was done by hand and using nails instead screws, welding or gluing, to patch pieces together, so that was very common. Well, not always, especially if you look at very old furniture, no glue, no nails, no screws, rock solid, often brutally heavy, and definitely no crappy wood, like the one I name “Sauerkraut Wood” – I think the official name is particle wood. A certain Swedish furniture company is very famous on that – Yes, modern furniture sometimes look nice and clean, but put it once in place and then better never move it somewhere else, guess you know why…

However , nails today are pretty different compared to the ones in old days. When you go to a hardware store and buy a pack today, you get all the same in length, diameter and head – thousands of different variations. But back in old days, the tolerances were enormous, (I don’t speak of 20 or 30 years ago but hundred or more), so basically each nail more or less random in every aspect. Though it depends on the situation both have their pro’s and con’s, but that’s not my subject. I just took a few pictures and clips of those nails…later. Okay, I am not 200 or whatever years old, but when I removed the planks of the floor in the attic, I could hardly find two similar nails. In my opinion, made the work pretty creative so to say, but it sharpens the skills.

But I found some nails that really drew my attention.
And with that I will go back not only 200 but 2000 years. In the wider area here you’ll find buildings that are more than 3000 years old, but I will point to the center of the world’s attention to Jerusalem to another purpose of the nails.

The way how Yeshua was nailed on the tree some or many people might imagine modern type of nails. But when I found these nails, especially this one, I thought this might have been just the size where the innocent lamb was nailed on the cross. Actually if you read the Aramaic New Covenant, the word used for cross refers rather to a stake. And even the Greek word Stavros also means stake or pole, both, or cross. But I think this is not so important. It is likely it was a cross but the pain is the same, if you drive such a nail through the hands. Some claim, Yeshua was nailed through the wrists, because through the palm of the hands it would have ripped the hands in pieces and He would have fallen down. But I go with the version that says, they were bound on the wood with ropes and the nails were just to fix the hands and feet that they can’t slip out of the ropes and run away. Sometimes they were hanging all night long and then in the night. Whoosh – bang, bye bye…
That’s why the nails were through the hands and feet.

Anyway, try to feel such a nail being driven through your hands and feet. Doesn’t matter whether the palm or the wrist, just try to sense the excruciating pain. And Yeshua also had a crown of thorns. Some fifteen years or so ago I walked with a friend in Jerusalem in springtime and she showed me a tree. And immediately I knew that’s it, when I saw the thorns of a certain Acacia (specific type) tree during the time of Pessach were already hard while the branches were still a bit soft. Perfect to braid a crown of thorns together. And as Acacia wood is being used for the ark of the covenant it made the perfect confirmation – same wood, same author. Okay, we can’t say 100% for sure, but it was the right season. I checked it for a couple of years always during Pessach and it was always in time, while I could not find any other kind of thorns and thistles so perfect around Pessach. A month or even two weeks later the branches are already much harder and so they would break, and difficult to make a crown but a few weeks earlier the thorns were too soft to penetrate the skin. Only exactly for Pessach when the lamb of God was slain.

Now back to the nail: today we have ordinary steel, galvanized nails or stainless steel, or whatever, all kinds of different type, brass, copper…. I could very much imagine the nails the Romans used were as much rusty as the ones I found. Why shall they get new ones… to nail the people on the tree? Why shall they care about?
But Yeshua did care.
Beside the physical pain he carried the weight of all the sins of the world. Sins of all people throughout all the roughly 6000 years of human history. I had once a (6mm) drill that snapped and went through my finger. That was really painful. But to imagine such a nail driven through the hands and feet and then hanging for hours up on a cross or a piece of wood. I would not want to have this happen to Me even by force, but Yeshua did it voluntarily for us. The head chopped off under a guillotine is surely also very painful, but definitely much, much shorter.

Anyway, when we read scripture we usually don’t see the name of God. We read usually capital L.O.R.D. But when we read the Hebrew there are these 4 letters Yud, Hey, Vav, Hey. As every Hebrew letter is a number and as well a symbol, we end up with these 4 symbolic meanings. The symbolic name of the God of Avraham, Yzchak and Ya’acov is: Behold the hand, Behold the Nail.
Not a coincidence, not at all.

So, you may wonder, why this message now near fall when it should be according to Churchianity in springtime or during the bunny festival? Well, when you think about the fall of men or the great falling away, the fall of the Dollar and world economy, maybe just the right time. Anyway, this message is not about seasons, festivals or money, but about lost souls. So, should we not declare His death and resurrection every day ,regardless the season? !!! For a sinner who dies today or tomorrow it doesn’t bring him to heaven when he might hear the good news of salvation in a month or a year or even in a week. The hand, the nail and the blood of Yeshua, forgiveness and our need for repentance and salvation should be preached all the time, everywhere. Yes, I know the globalists and other servants of the devil wants the message for salvation by Yeshua’s grace to be completely silenced. It might come… for them… one day and they might regret it or not, yet still continue to mock our savior. But for us, let us preach the good news!

Now, let this nail be a reminder of what Yeshua has done, when he paid the price for our sins. Let it be known to all creation to the ends of the earth.

So the next time you have a nail in your hand, whether a modern one or a used ancient one, think about such a nail and think about your sins.
But also think about grace and mercy and the blood that was poured out to wash away all sins. Yeshua made it possible, whether we understand why he chose this way – or not, doesn’t matter. He made the way to the Father in Heaven, and He is the only way, the Way, the Truth and the Life.

End of Message
