Banana Praise #1

Banana-Praise Chapter one – live, May 14, 2016: “Numbers 6:24-26 BaMidbar במדבר”

This last song of Banana-Praise Chapter one is Biblical from: “Numbers 6:24-26”.
Commonly also known as the Aharonic blessings

Many people may know that verse somehow but I guess not many know the original.

In Judaism I assume only the priests that should be the decendants of Aharon.
Nowadays they are connected with the family name Kohen – and these were/are are permitted to speak these blessings.

I don’t have a complete understanding and insight in all details.
But in my opinion I don’t see anything wrong to speak blessings into another’s life.

Whether you are a true priest or a descendant of Aaron, a Jew, a disciple of Yeshua, a Christian or just a simple believer of the everlasting truth, etc….

Like with everything also this blessing in numbers 6 should be spoken in faith and obedience according the instructions of Torah, the living Word of Elohim given through Moshe.

Does it make sense to speak a blessing just because it is tradition or liturgy?
I am wondering how much effect it has – or at least the difference when it will be spoken in faith.

Actually, for this blessing I created a melody.
I think it’s nicer than just dry words.

The Name of יהוה (YHWH), as the personal name of God is translated over 6000 times in scripture.
I am not sure how accurate my pronunciation mioght be – and actually, no one really knows this for sure.

I picked up a posibility in a synagogue in Jerusalem while listening some ultraorthodox rabbis. They were discussiong about ancient pronunciations of the hebrew letters.
Anyway, I think it’s a choice whether they think His name is too holy to speak it or if they have the freedom to pronounce His Name.
But as Yeshua’s name is in His father’s name, (Joh 17:11+12) those people who don’t want to pronounce need to consider they should also not pronounce Yeshua’s Name!

The name יהוה I don’t use all the time. But in music, when it fits in the best I’ll use it.
I don’t mind, if you like it and agree or not – no-one is forced to listen to my music.
