Message 2026/07 Yom Truah, Yom Kippur, Succoth (Month 09)
It has been a while since my last message, but the upcoming feasts I thought to cover in a video.
Some say Jewish feasts, but literally they are biblical feasts and not only for the Jews. I could make three videos, each of every feast, but I don’t want to put out a long theological explanation but focus a bit also on a few other things more or less related to these feasts.

Beginning of Message
These three feasts or Moadim in Hebrew start with Yom Truah (Yom Teruah), the day of trumpets, or the day of blasting. I think it’s even better known as Rosh HaShana as the Jewish new year. A new year that starts at new moon, the first day of the seventh month, which doesn’t make sense, but according to the teachings or legend of Judaism, Adam and Eve were created on that day. There is no proof of this, but rabbis have been always reading many things into scripture that is not there. 2000 years ago, Yeshua tried to explain the difference between Gods word and man made traditions to the scribes and pharisees, but we know how much they enjoyed His corrections.
Anyway, here comes the paradoxical part: there are not many Christians who celebrate those feasts, but especially for Yom Truah, suddenly many come up with rapture predictions. And I am sure, there might be thousands or, who knows how many, claiming again this year, the rapture has to occur in a few days on that very Yom Truah. Some believe the seven Shofarot or trumpets refers to the 7 years with the 7 years of tribulation starting this year and on day one of the tribulation the rapture. Well, I don’t go for that. And then, the fifth trumpet talks about 5 months of disaster, while the second Shofar appear much shorter. I don’t say it can’t happen this way, but only time will tell.
And of course the theological debate about a pre- mid- and end-tribulation rapture or the word rapture itself, that lean word from Latin of the Greek Harpazo. And as always, all parties throw their arguments in the ring, providing bible verses after bible verses which confirms all scenarios. And if they all are correct, then the bible might be wrong, when it contradicts itself, except there will be three raptures.
Anyway, I don’t waste my time to discuss about it. I try to be permanently rapture ready, period. Everyone could have his personal rapture today or tomorrow, dead or alive. If not, how can God snatch someone out at any time, when that person thinks the LORD is not able to to it at all. He took Chanoch and Eliyahu out. And if He can’t do the same anymore, then He is not the same today as He was yesterday and could be someone else tomorrow. But His will be done. He brought the children of Israel out of Egypt by His mighty hand and outstretched arm and further into the promised land. So I try to be like Yehoshua to walk all the way to the end and not to die in the wilderness by endless rebellion.
Then secondly comes Yom Kippur, the day of atonement. I thought, what a privilege to have Yeshua, the perfect lamb who gave Himself for us as an eternal atonement. Though daily repentance is always a good attitude, but I’m glad not having to bring daily animal sacrifices – I think I would need a huge animal farm. Thankfully, no need for the high priest stepping into the Holy of Holiness in the temple once a year. Yeshua was the high priest after the order of Melchizedek. If we have dedicated our lives to Yeshua, we should be living temples and the indwelling Holy Spirit can be the one who does the work. Yes, the cleansing often appears a bit slow in my eyes, but there might be a reason for that.
Anyway, about the temple; I am wondering when the Jews will build their new temple in Jerusalem. I think they have enough hardliners who wants it now, and ready to do everything to get it. And even if the dome of the rock is in their opinion in the way, they might just bomb it away. And probably will blame Iran, Chamas or Hezbollah for that, as an excuse.
But anyway, speculations about it are already hot as much as about the rapture. One thing is sure, as soon this thing will start or better say the cornerstone is laid, we can start counting, knowing the last few years are at the door, Halleluyah.
And for those who keep Torah, which is actually very different as to keep Talmud or traditions of men, I wish you a happy fasting – and if you are not a fan of fasting or your body struggles with it, like me, I wish a real mourning or suffering fast. Gladly, it’s only 24 hours and not 40 days, which some people may only finish in a coffin.
Then, finally Succoth, the feast of tabernacles. Some of my Jewish friends will live at least partially in a Succah one type or another, during that week of the feast in remembrance how the children of Israel dwelt in tents 40 years in the wilderness. Doesn’t look I will be doing that here. And though from the weather it might be possible, but I am not really equipped doing that. The garden where I planted vegetables is not a great spot to set up a Succah. There is no bathroom and zero privacy. Three neighbors plus the people who walk on the narrow road beside, can look upon the garden all day. And then I need at least 5 Minutes to get home for every internal human pressure, which can become pretty long to avoid a small smelly catastrophe.
If I find favor in Yeshuas eyes the next half a year or so, and be able to get my own property, I highly consider to make it suitable to install a Succah for next year. Though with my small budget I experienced it’s very difficult to find something useful. All I found were more or less ruins, not worthy to renovate. 25 or 30.000 Euros more in my budget would make a vast difference in the choices. So for now I just pray, and search and hope to find a place – in Abba’s will.
Now about the feasts generally, scripture says we shall come up to Jerusalem three times a year; first at Pessach in springtime, then later early summer for Shavuoth and finally in fall for Succoth, where it makes sense to add Yom Truah and Yom Kippur into the package. Well, since I don’t travel by plane anymore, and if Yeshua ever truly wants me to go there, it’s His responsibility to find a way. On a bicycle, there is no way to get there and a boat I don’t have anymore. And with such a small and unreliable boat I had, I anyway might be able just to reach Greece, and there I can return to hopefully make it in time back to Jerusalem. I don’t consider to buy a suitable yacht just to get to the feasts in hope the coastguards will even let me pass. Too expensive anyway, and to built a personal UFO may not be a great solution either – not to go to Israel.
Anyway, Yeshua understands my situation as He understand yours. I rather prefer to have my personal small farm to grow as much as possible organic food and bless others with the produce, instead to run around.
