I was out with the bicycle on a nice ride inJerusalem from the center towards Pisgat Ze’ev.
There on the way back a word came into my mind.
It points to the jewish people maybe especially the religious and orthodox saying:
“If you would really pray – Israel would not be the same (anymore). Everything would be changed (positive). What you are doing is lithurgy and not prayer.
There is no difference in what you do – that you call prayer – to all other religion. I will not hear it, I cannot hear it.”
INFO:
I have some knowledge about Judaism eventhough I harldy can follow their prayer in the synagogues at all.
But as I was smoothly riding around with the bicycle on that beautiful sunny day I didn’t expect God will speak something – only wanted to enjoy the Shabat
It was somewhere on (the road) “Sderot Hayim Barlev” where on the one side are the arab-muslims and the other side the orthodox jews when the word came to me.
I thought, it would be good to ask myself of how much I am in lithurgy in my prayer instead to be inspired by the Holy Spirit and pray the will of the Heavely father that things will change for good!
Check it out, ask the Holy Spirit if He speaks to you about “real” prayer
